Wembley point was our first high rise project we partnered with AVS on delivering the total Mechanical
and Electrical package including security and access. The project continued throughout the Covid-19 pandemic
which resulted having to really focus around programme management and delivery ensuring that we were able to
create a safe working space whilst delivering on the programme for the client. This in part was achieved
through the adoption of an off site and on site approach to allow us to minimise the safety risks whilst continue
to deliver on the project programme.
We had multiple plant locations throughout the building, including 2 roof top plant rooms and a ground floor plant room along with a new Electrical room situated on the ground floor. We arranged for the roof top plant ot be fabricated for ease. With the ground floor plant rooms including electrical room due to restricted space we had to have all the items arrive sectionally then fabricated them within the room.
This included the water tanks, Pumps electrical panel boards and control panels, this required a high level of skill and focus from the team to ensure that the system did not only operate but was compliant which involved negotiating with manufacturers to agree warranty arrangements for the projects. The project was delayed in part due to covid-19 and part due toDNO issues we accommodated the client with these delays and did not charge any additional costs as a result.
